De Shiftec Two Way Paddle Shift is ontworpen om zowel upshift als downshift te bedienen met één enkele hendel. Dankzij de eenvoudige duw/trek-bediening behoudt de rijder volledige controle, zelfs in ruwe omstandigheden.

De paddle kan worden gemonteerd op het stuurwiel of vast op de stuurkolom of het dashboard, waardoor de bediening altijd op dezelfde positie blijft, onafhankelijk van de stuurhoek. Dit maakt het systeem bijzonder geschikt voor off-road en rallytoepassingen, waar stuurbewegingen groot en onvoorspelbaar kunnen zijn.

Het frame en de hendel zijn CNC-gefreesd uit hoogwaardig aluminium billet en voorzien van een geanodiseerde afwerking voor maximale bescherming tegen vocht, vuil en trillingen. De grote, waterjet-gesneden carbon pad maakt bediening eenvoudig vanuit verschillende stuurposities.

De positieve schakelactie zorgt voor direct en nauwkeurig gevoel, terwijl paddle bounce en ongewenste schakelcommando’s volledig worden uitgesloten. Slechts 7 mm padbeweging is nodig om de schakelaar te activeren, wat snelle en consistente schakelingen mogelijk maakt. De paddle keert snel terug naar de centrale rustpositie.

Beschrijving

The Shiftec two way paddle allows up and down shift demands to be made from a single lever with an easy push/pull action. It can be mounted either on the steering wheel or on a separate bracket from the steering column or dashboard and so remaining in the same position independent of the wheel.

The durable paddle frame and lever are CNC machined from a high quality aluminium billet and have an anodised surface finish for added protection under adverse conditions. A large water jet cut carbon pad allows easy operation of the paddle from a range of steering wheel positions. Its positive action means accurate driver feel and feedback, while at the same time eliminating any possibility of paddle bounce or phantom shift requests.

Primarily designed for the off-road and rally market, the 2 way paddle has also been used successfully in marine and circuit racing applications.
